Black History Month at Song Noir

I have to admit, I never realized what dancing was until I saw Anna Mudeka bust some African moves on the stage at Platform 12 as part of Black History Month Norfolk.

We were the supporting band and I must say, I didn’t expect that! We did a nice acoustic set, Gary on guitar, Dan on keys, but the stage was owned by the Africans that night.

There were so many strings, horns, drums and percussion, there was barely enough space for the musicians themselves. And they went for it. The whole room was buzzing, dancing, singing; even the kids were moving. Surely that’s what it’s all about!

It was a pleasure to be the supporting band.

Thank you Abraham, Platform 12, Song Noir and Anna Mudeka for an amazing event.
