The Creative Voice is the story of how we all lose our voices in life and get them back again. It tracks the formation of the voice from its ancient history to today, observing the forces that shape, influence and indeed silence our voices.

It identifies the sculpting forces from disparate schools: philosophy, psychology, ancient anthropology, sociology and neuroscience. It shows that the voice is far from a unified, singular organ but rather a living, multi-faceted force that has the power to communicate and create. 

The voice is not simply a sound. It is a force. An agent. And it is particularly useful in self-discovery. 

A combined memoir with album project, The Creative Voice speaks to creative innovation and freedom: it is an example of what we can do with our creative powers if we are only given the chance to explore them. Each chapter went with its own song presented as a QR code at the end. It was published by Singular Publishing in 2023.
