Workplace conflict & what to do about it

Are you stuck in workplace conflict or difference and don’t know how to solve the issues? Are you frustrated in your career because there is so much stress and anxiety getting in the way of your work?

Work should be a time of getting things done. But so much of the time, we are stuck in argumentative relationships with our colleagues, feeling unheard by our bosses, bullied by our team leaders and unable to express our needs.

I've been invited to a talk at UCL to discuss these issues but before I send the information, consider these two things:

The first relates to human needs theory from Abraham Maslow and whether anyone in the office’s needs are being threatened. Are there issues of communication where people aren’t feeling heard? Are there communications issues that threaten people's sense of identity? If any of these issues are coming up you might consider that someone’s needs are being threatened and it should help you to figure out what is really going on.

Another major source of conflict might even be arising from within you. Is the office suitable for your working style? Is the company? Have you picked the right industry for you? If any of these questions are ones you can’t answer, you might need to think about where the conflict is coming from. Answering these questions might help on the road to solving them.

And now some information about the event!
